Damian Lechoszest - Traditions - Solo Exhibition

May 2017

Hailing from Baborow, Poland, Damian Lechoszest portrays his subjects with unusual insight and analytical attitude.  He strives to record and immortalize the disappearing Polish folk traditions of his native land.  An aspiring artist at a very early age, teachers and mentors from throughout his life have recognized a special quality in Lechoszest, with their tutelage and encouragement contributing to the artist's passion for his profession.  Lechoszest is the consummate student, devouring books about the human form and theoretical fundamentals of art then pouring what he has learned into his artwork.  His brushwork is fitting and in perfect harmony with the old world subjects and figurative works he so masterfully delivers.  His works are sold all over the world including Czech Republic, Germany, Russia, Great Britain, Ireland and France.   This show marks the first One Man Show for Damian Lechoszest in the United States.

Opening Reception on Friday, May 5th from 6 pm - 8 pm

Cheri Christensen - Jim Eppler - Jhenna Quinn Lewis

Nature's Whimsey

June 2017

Three remarkable artists come together for a show featuring nature's wonderful creatures that surround us, capturing them on canvas and in bronze with fresh life and beauty. Christensen's signature use of saturated color and radiant light draws in the viewer and evokes the joy of farm life. Her trademark backlighting combined with her fluid brush and pallet knife work draw from the inspiration of Russian impressionism. Jim Eppler's bronze sculptures of woodland creatures take the world around us and recreate it for our participation. His lifelike and gentle interpretations come from a lifetime of feeling most at home outdoors, observing, sketching and painting animals. Eppler's respect and appreciation for nature are what allow his art to flow so freely. Lewis's detailed rendering of birds amongst beautiful found objects reminds the viewer of the Japanese masters she so reveres. Her abilty to capture a moment, rapt in innocence, and portray it through her use of simplicity in color, style and composition gives the viewer the distinct feeling of delight one finds when stumbling upon one of nature's hidden treasures. The union of these artists will bring a show in which all nature lovers will find enchantment abound.

Opening Reception with the artists on Friday, June 2nd from 6 pm - 8 pm
