Tom Browning's backlit horses and riders, Mark Haworth's Big Bend landscapes and the one of a kind stone work of Native Americans rendered by Oreland Joe will come together to encompass the very essence of western art. All three men have been working toward the show for a year and the paintings and stone sculptures that will be on display will surely evoke as much passion in the viewer as these men have put into their masterful works of art.

"The Color of Life" Cheri Christensen. Quang Huang. Jennifer McChristian. May 4 - May 21 Artist Reception Friday, May 4 from 6-8 pm |
Three artists will team up for a brilliant display of artwork that will showcase the use of vibrant color and the nuances of subtle changes in color to create a mood or emotion. Cheri Christensen's joyful work is embodied in her bold paintings of animals. Painting in a Russian impressionistic style, Cheri's work uses her palette to exude happiness and a bit of whimsy. Qiang Huang brings a classic technique to his still life compositions but creates his own unique voice with his use of color and mastery of light. A guest member of Richard Schmid's "Putney Painters", Qiang's paintings are a nod toward the fundamentals with an artistic flair that have made him a growing presence in the fine art world. Jennifer McChristian depicts the scenes we encounter on a daily basis. Jennifer has the ability to use her brush to accent specific elements of a scene to draw the viewer into the painting and see the beauty that is right in front of us. Winner of numerous recent awards, Jennifer's work evokes a sense of wonder and humility.
InSight Gallery is pleased to host a show with three such young and talented artists that encourage us all to see the color of life.

"The Fruits of their Labor" October 26 - November 12 Aleksander and Lyuba Titovets Artist Reception: Friday, November 2 from 6-8pm |
Aleksander and Lyuba Titovets immigrated to the United States from St. Petersburg, Russia twenty years ago. Theirs is an American success story and we are proud to host a show with over 20 new works from these two classically trained artists. Arriving in the US in1992, Aleksander had $25 in his pocket, new ideas, a different perspecitve on life and art, and some canvases he and Lyuba had brought with them. They worked odd jobs and continued to paint when the time allowed. With hard work and determination they have lived the American Dream. They did not receive any government assistance but instead relied solely on the fruits of their labor. As they persevered, they saved money and their ability to focus more on their art grew. Today, they are both full time painters with numerous accolades and awards. Their work has been shown throughout the US and has become part of collections throughout the world. Aleksander was commissioned to paint then first lady Laura Bush for the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Aleksander once asked me: "In what country could this happen? That an immigrant of 10 years would be painting the president's wife? Only here, Meredith. Only in the United States." Their story is compelling and uplifting and we are honored to share the current fruits of their labor with you. Happy Anniversary Aleksander and Lyuba! |
